Andy enjoys visiting schools, and will always try to accept invitations. He has been on-tour round the UK, France and Switzerland, and has recently returned from schools and colleges in Asia, Saudi Arabia and Ireland.
Visits can be negotiated according to teachers and librarians’ wishes, and presentations have ranged from intimate workshops to full-scale lectures. It depends entirely on age-group and audience size. Andy is happy to talk about individual books and the process of writing. Recent sessions have often focused on drama and screen-writing.
A teacher’s first decision should be whether a presentation is required, or a participatory workshop. A presentation can be delivered to virtually any number, whilst a workshop is likely to be a much smaller affair. Combinations can be arranged.
